Our Cleaning Process

We use a FlexTend dryer vent brush powered by a SpinVax1000XT. This system is gentle enough to use on all types of ductwork, yet, sturdy enough when spinning to effectively dislodge and remove dust, dirt, & debris. The brush is followed with a high powered HEPA Filtered Vacuum which effectively collects the dust and debris for safe removal from the home.  Then the dryer, dryer vent duct, and exterior vent cover are thoroughly cleaned with a quality cleaning solution and HEPA filter vacuum.

We then Disinfect the interior of the dryer duct by using our professional electric fogger. We coat the interior surface area of the dryer duct with Botanical Decon 30. Botanical Decon 30 is an EPA approved disinfectant that kills 99.99% of Bacteria, Mold, Viruses, and other odor causing Microorganisms.

Finally, we reconnect the dryer vent duct, exterior vent cover, and put the dryer back into place.

Professionally Cleaning your dryer vents is important for a number of reasons, including:

Fire risk

Lint buildup is a common cause of dryer fires. When lint clogs your dryer vent, it can obstruct airflow and cause the dryer to overheat.

Air quality

Cleaning your dryer vent removes dust, allergens, and other pollutants that can be harmful to your health.

Drying time

A clogged dryer vent makes it harder for humid air to escape, which can cause clothes to take longer to dry.

Carbon monoxide poisoning

A clogged dryer vent can make it difficult to exhaust dryer fumes properly, which can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Energy efficiency

A clogged dryer vent makes your dryer work harder to dry clothes, which can increase your energy bill.

Professional cleaning

Mountain West Environmental can clean every part of your dryer vent, including hard-to-reach areas that you might miss if you try to clean it yourself.
